Homework 2

Circles and Lines and Circles and Lines....

This is the wax on, wax off assignment. I will teach you the mechanics of holding a pencil and drawing strokes on a page. You will then start training your hands to do what your brain wants them to.

In class assignment: 5 Pages of Circles and 5 pages of lines.
(i.e. 30 lines per page, and 30 circles per page.) Please number each group. Once you are done, come get me to ok your page.

Homework assignment: Find 1 location where there are lines and 1 location where there are circles and sketch 3 pages of each in your sketch book. (6 pages x 20-30min each = 2-3 hours.)
Use Black Prisma Colors.

Reference Assignment: Boxes boxes boxes. Find 16 really good images of box like objects. (i.e. alarm clock, toaster, sculpture, building.) Take a really cool picture (or download jpeg) paying attention to really good lighting, dramatic perspective, and high resolution. Print these photos out in color, and bring them to class on Thursday.
